Services

The Mental Health Services program is a Ministry of Health funded program which provides a range of case management services to adults aged sixteen and over in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent who are experiencing difficulties with serious mental illness. The Mental Health Services office is in Chatham with a satellite office in Wallaceburg. Services are provided to individuals who live in all areas of the Municipality.

Services are tailored to meet the needs of the individual, to promote successful living at home and in the community.

A 24-hour mobile team provides round the clock support throughout the Municipality.

Services offered include:

  • assistance obtaining and maintaining housing
  • teaching daily living skills
  • assessments and goal planning
  • crisis support
  • referrals and linkages to community resources
  • medication monitoring
  • assistance with symptom management
  • family support
  • advocacy
  • trusteeship

The program further provides vocational training and support and educational groups in life skills, computers, and interpersonal skills.
