PART TIME R.P.N

The successful candidate will work with R.N. staff to provide medication support and other nursing services for individuals living in the community with serious mental illness.  The nursing program at CMHA provides an array of services for our clients.

Hours of Work:              14 hours per week working shifts,

                                          (days, evenings, weekends and holidays)

Salary Range:              $22.94 to $26.32 per current collective agreement

              Qualifications:

1.    Education: Registered Practical Nurse Diploma from a recognized post secondary institution. Certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.

2.    Related Experience: Three to five years experience in a community setting or a combination of community and hospital or public health settings.

3.    Knowledge & Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of medications and the process to reconcile medications with physician orders. 

Requirements:              Current Registration with the Ontario College of Nurses

                                          Valid driver’s license, use of a vehicle and appropriate insurance

Additional information on the position will be provided on request.  A working knowledge of French and previous experience working with the seriously mentally ill would be an asset.
